Through a capital expansion building grant awarded by the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona in June, we have broken ground for a 2,000 sf multi-use facility next to our present Casas Saludables clinic in the Barrio Nuevo community of Naco Sonora. Certification of land, building and construction documents have been completed and construction began January 12, 2017. Albert Hopper, a Bisbee architect, provided all project planning documents and consultation pro bono. This will not only relieve our present heavily used and often overcrowded conditions, but also permit us to grow into new outreach programs and activities we have not been able to pursue.
